Over a Dozen Airbags Stolen From Hondas in Southwest Miami-Dade

Police are investigating after more than a dozen airbags were stolen from cars in southwest Miami-Dade.

More than a dozen airbags were stolen from cars in Southwest Miami-Dade Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at 3591 SW 117th Avenue. A total of 14 cars were targeted, police said.

All of the vehicles that were broken into were Hondas, according to police.

One of the victims, Maxwell Bernard, told NBC 6 he was supposed to see his wife's final ultrasound this morning but couldn't go because he had to file a police report and file an insurance claim.

No other valuables were stolen from the cars, just the airbags.

Victims tell NBC 6 the security guard was off last night.
