Video shows massive destruction after fire erupts in Parkland home

A fire left a Parkland home completely destroyed as crews worked to put out the blaze early Friday morning.

A fire broke out at a Parkland home early Friday morning, leaving the house completely destroyed.

The home was located in the 5400 block of Godfrey Road in Parkland.

According to the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, at around 3:30 a.m. Friday, crews responded to the home over a report of smoke in the area.

When crews arrived, they found the two-story house fully engulfed in flames, officials said.

Aerial images captured by Chopper 6 showed the damage left behind by the fire at the home.

Coral Springs-Parkland Fire told NBC6 no one was in the home and the it is possible the home was under renovations.

At this time, crews are still at the scene putting out hotspots.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the fire.
