A driver had to be taken to the hospital after crashing into a power pole, leaving thousands without electricity.
A person had to be extricated from their car Sunday morning after it crashed into a power pole, officials said.
The incident happened after 11:00 a.m. at Southwest 43 Street and Southwest 157 Avenue in West Kendall.
According to officials, the man was taken to Kendall Regional Hospital, where his condition is currently unknown.
As a result of the accident, a main power line was damaged, causing more than 2,000 residents to be without power.
It’s unclear what caused the crash.
