No Human Remains Found at Crime Scene Dig in Southwest Ranches

NBC Universal, Inc.

The investigation has been going on for two days and while police have been tight-lipped about it, Davie police asked for assistance with cadaver dogs. NBC 6’s Jamie Guirola reports.

Investigators came up with nothing after a crime scene dig seeking evidence — including the possibility of human remains — Friday in Southwest Ranches.

Officials with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Friday that Davie Police also requested the assistance of their human remains detection K-9s.

Davie Police officials revealed few details, only confirming that an investigation was underway at the site on Mustang Trail near Southwest 136th Avenue.

Aerial footage showed more than a dozen investigators excavating the site Friday.

Davie Police later said no human remains were found, but the investigation is ongoing.

Officials said no other details are being released "so as not to compromise the integrity of this active investigation."
