An employee was on the way to the bank to make a deposit when he was overpowered by a criminal.
Police are searching for whoever was involved in a robbery outside a Weston shopping plaza Tuesday morning.
Officers arrived at the scene near 2810 Weston Road in the parking lot behind a Burger Fi restaurant. K-9 units arrived as well along with a Broward Sheriff’s Office helicopter to search the area.
BSO Public Information Officer Joy Oglesby confirmed an employee at the restaurant was robbed as he headed to the bank, but no additional details were given.
