NBC 6’s Amanda Plasencia has the latest on an investigation as police search for the person who hit and killed a 55-year-old man on his bike.
A deadly hit and run accident in West Perrine took the life of a man who was riding his bike down the street early Wednesday.
Miami-Dade Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. near Southwest 102nd Avenue and 171st Street. The victim, identified as 56-year-old Gary Wayne King, was struck from behind by a vehicle, possibly a gray SUV.
Crews responded, but King was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle involved fled the scene shortly after the crash.
Officials are asking for anyone with information to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
