Thousands are without power after what may have been a tornado touchdown in the Florida Panhandle.

Thousands are without power in the Florida Panhandle after a possible tornado touchdown late Monday night.

The hardest hit area is roughly 40 miles north of Pensacola in Escambia County. Video and images showed downed trees and destroyed homes.

Nearly 7,000 customers in the area remain without power Tuesday morning.
