Relatives Hold Vigil for Shooting Victims

Authorities are asking the public to help crack the case.

A hitman for Mexican drug cartels admitted to killing more than 30 people around the United States, according to NBC Los Angeles. If Martinez, who is a U.S. citizen, is found guilty of the multiple homicides, he will be among the most lethal serial murderers in American history. “He basically told us, ‘I’m the guy that pays you a visit when you don’t pay the cartel,” a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Captain said according to NBC News. “He had a reputation in the drug world as the guy who would get the job done. If he was assigned to get money, he’d get money.” Martinez is now in custody at Alabama’s Lawrence County Jail.

A Miami community gathered at a vigil Thursday night to plead for information in a drive-by shooting over the weekend.
