Rough Ride for Plane at N. Perry Airport

Small Cessna flips after engine trouble, no injuries

It was a rough ride and an even rougher landing for a mosquito control plane in Pembroke Pines that ended up upside down shortly after takeoff Friday morning.

According to police the Cessna 172 took off from North Perry Airport carrying two people and immediately began to have engine trouble.

When the plane tried to land in some grass at the airfield, it wound up upside down.

Both of the people on board weren't injured, and the plane suffered minor damage.
