Shuttle Bus Catches Fire on Julia Tuttle Causeway

No one injured after hotel bus catches fire on South Florida highway

Fire rescue crews responded after a hotel shuttle bus caught on fire on the Julia Tuttle Causeway Saturday morning.

The incident happened around 10:25 a.m. as the bus was traveling in the eastbound lanes of I-195 near the Biscayne Boulevard exit.

Car Crashes Into Pool in Southwest Miami-Dade

Miami Fire Rescue and Miami Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene. The driver and three passengers who were on the bus at the time of the incident were uninjured.

The bus, which belongs to the South Beach Hotels Group, was left badly burned on the side of the road as the fire led to traffic backups.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
