Master Sgt. Kevin Propes has an emotional reunion with his son, Ethan, at Silver Trail Middle School.
There was a special soldier surprise for an eighth grade student at Silver Trail Middle School in Broward County Friday.
It was an emotional and heartfelt classroom reunion as the boy's father came back early from serving overseas in the military.
"I was trying to hold in the tears," said Ethan Propes about his father's return.
"It feels good. I'm glad to be home. I'm glad to see him," said Master Sgt. Kevin Propes.
The unexpected surprise was all planned out and left the boy speechless. The two haven't seen each other since July 15.
"I was really excited to see him. It's been so long since I've seen him," Ethan said.
So what are their plans for Valentine's Day?

"We'll probably go to the ball fields or go fishing," Sgt. Propes said.
