A woman in Southwest Florida got quite the sight when she opened her garage -- and saw an alligator measuring in at seven feet in length.
NBC affiliate WBBH-TV reports the incident took place Sunday in Fort Myers, when Torrie Heathcoat and her husband Andy heard hissing coming from that area of the home.
"When my husband said 'there's a gator in the garage', I thought he was kidding," Torrie Heathcoat told the station.
When they went into the garage, they found the reptile wandering around.

"When I was on the phone with 911, we could here it hitting things," she said. "Its tail was hitting things in the garage."
Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officials arrived at the scene and were able to remove the alligator, which was safely taken to an area north of the city and released.
"My son had just been in the garage an hour before," Heathcoat said. "This could have ended a lot differently."
