St. Pete Cops Hand Out Rays Tickets for Good Behavior

Police have a new tool in their crime-fighting arsenal: Tampa Bay Rays tickets.

St. Petersburg Police Chief Tony Holloway announced Monday the Park, Walk, and Cheer program, which will allow cops to reward positive behavior with four tickets to a Rays game.

The tickets will be awarded through a small cardboard voucher that looks like a baseball card for Rays' pitcher Chris Archer. It is good for four baseline box tickets to any game that is not sold out, except three blackout dates.

Officers might also give the vouchers to victims of crime.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that the team gave police 1,000 vouchers to start.
