Miami Police and SWAT teams spent 10 hours in Allapattah negotiating with a man who had barricaded himself inside a home after some sort of incident early Saturday.
The incident occurred at 2871 Northwest 18th Place in Allapattah and left many of the area residents unable to return home.
Police initially said they received a call of a man who allegedly threatened to assault someone.
The man then fled into a home when officers arrived.

After more than 10 hours of negotiations, the suspect was taken into custody, police said.
No other information was immediately known.
