One year ago: Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets in Egypt, denouncing President Mohammed Morsi and a draft constitution that was approved earlier in the day by his Islamist allies. Citing insufficient evidence, prosecutors in Los Angeles dropped the murder case against Lois Goodman, a tennis referee who had been arrested before a match at the U.S. Open in connection with her husband's death.
