"This was no accident, it was a thought-out, well prepared robbery," prosecutor Gail Levine said.
Prosecutors said Silver robbed Marchese at gun point, taking his cell phone. Marchese was out jogging and on his way to his Coral Gables apartment.
His wife, Gisele Campos-Marchese, held him in her arms as he died after staggering into the couple's bedroom. On Tuesday she testified through an interpreter.
"Just then when he sat up a little bit, I saw blood," she said.
The couple's son also testified about what he saw the day his father was murdered.

Detectives were looking for Silver and another man after they allegedly shot and wounded three people at a pizzeria in Delray Beach. Police found them hiding out on a boat with two guns and Marchese's cell phone.
The other man, Oniel Pedley, is now in prison serving a life sentence while Silver awaits his fate.
Silver faces the death penalty if he's found guilty of killing and robbing Marchese.
