Two Children Hurt When Woman Pulls in Front of Police Cruiser in West Palm Beach

Authorities say four people, including two children, were injured when a woman pulled out in front of a West Palm Beach police officer who was heading to an excited delirium call at a hospital.

The Palm Beach Post reports two children in the woman's car sustained serious injuries in the Monday night crash.

The woman and the officer were also injured. Officials say the injuries were not considered life threatening.

Detective Lori Colombino says the children were not restrained in the vehicle. Their ages were not available.

Police say the officer's lights and siren were activated when the crash occurred. They didn't say why the woman pulled into the intersection.

No further details were immediately available.
