An inspection of the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach owned by President Donald Trump last November showed several violations that required a follow-up inspection, according to the state agency responsible.
The initial inspection – done on November 8th, exactly one year after Trump was elected – by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation showed the property did not have smoke detectors specialized for the hearing impaired as well as exposed rebar in one area.
Both violations were fixed before the property was inspected a second time, which it passed.
The November inspection also found violations in the kitchen area, but none that were serious enough to force a failing score although they also required a follow-up inspection.
The resort, where the President has spent numerous weekends and holidays at since taking office including this past weekend, was hit with 13 violations during an inspection earlier this year, according to NBC affiliate WPTV.
