A woman is facing DUI manslaughter charges in a crash in downtown Miami in August that killed the passenger of a Smart Car.

Mila Anjelika Dago, 22, is facing one count of DUI manslaughter, and two counts of driving under the influence causing serious bodily harm following her arrest Wednesday, police said.

She was released on $20,000 bond and ordered under house arrest after a court appearance Thursday. It was unknown whether she has an attorney.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. on Aug. 14 at Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 15th Street when Dago, who was driving the Smart Car, collided with a pickup truck, police said.

Her passenger, 22-year-old Irina Reinoso, was killed at the scene. The driver of the truck was also hospitalized but later released.

Dago had also been hospitalized in critical condition after the crash, police said.

Police said at the time that the crash may have been alcohol related, but said they were waiting on toxicology tests.
