‘Success Kid' Meme Helps Raise $100K for Dad's New Kidney

A photo of 9-year-old Sammy Griner may very well have saved his father’s life. When Sammy was a baby, his mom snapped a photo of him looking adorably determined, spawning the wildly popular “Success Kid” meme. The family resurrected the photo last year when Sammy’s dad needed a kidney transplant, posting it on GoFundMe and raising a whopping $100,000.
