BSO Investigates Suspicious Death of Infant

Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of an infant found in a bathtub in a Lauderdale Lakes home Thursday. Deputies discovered the infant in the bathroom of a home in the 2900 block of Northwest 44th Terrace after receiving a 911 call around 4:15 p.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Office said. Nickashae Beckford, 25, who lives at the home with her mother and stepfather, told deputies she had a miscarriage a few days before the infant was found.
