Man accused of shooting roommate violated risk protection order

One law enacted in the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has been credited with keeping guns away from dangerous, mentally ill people. But NBC6’s Tony Pipitone has the story tonight of how even that law could not keep a gun from a man accused of shooting a roommate this week in Fort Lauderdale.
