Mom Seeks Driver After Teen on Scooter Struck in Fort Lauderdale

Police and family members are hoping the public can help them find a driver who fled the scene after hitting a teen on a scooter in Fort Lauderdale earlier this month. Alexis Gutierrez, 14, was riding an electric scooter in the 600 block of North Federal Highway just before 4 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he was struck by a car.
