No Charges for Hialeah Police Officer in Dead K-9s Case

A Hialeah Police officer whose K-9 partners died after they were left in his patrol vehicle won’t face charges, the Broward State Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday. According to investigators, Officer Nelson Enriquez had just finished an overnight shift when he parked his marked police vehicle outside his Davie home on May 27. He later realized that he left the dogs inside the vehicle, but it was too late.
