Nova Southeastern University Works to Fight Opioid Epidemic
Researchers at Nova Southeastern University are working on innovative methods to discourage the use of opioids. One such method makes pills almost impossible to crush into a powder. The principle: putting barriers between prescription opioid drugs and those using them the wrong way. The university also received a $200 million grant to use in its health science department to further propel research. NBC 6’s Ari Odzer reports.
