A Coast Guard Petty Officer will face a court martial on rape charges, the U.S. Coast Guard in Miami said Tuesday.

Petty Officer 1st Class Sheldon J. Bond, 33, is charged with violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice including sexual assault and adultery, according to a release from the Coast Guard's Seventh District.

The date of the court martial has yet to be determined.

The Coast Guard began a four-month investigation into Bond in March 2013 after the Air Force Office of Special Investigation notified them of the allegations.

The crimes allegedly occurred at a private residence in Lexington, S.C. in October 2010 against a prior enlisted Air Force Member, the release said.
