Five members of a Hollywood family were killed in a crash on Interstate 75 near Gainesville over the weekend.

The Russell family was heading home from a trip to Georgia when they were involved in the crash shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Killed in the crash were 37-year-old Nathan E. Russell and his 35-year-old wife Lynda, as well as their children, 15-year-old La'Nyah and 10-year-olds Natayah and Nathan Jr.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the family was in their 2016 Chrysler 200 when the car veered into the right shoulder and struck a disabled tractor-trailer.
