Judge: Donald Duck Grope Lawsuit Fits the Bill

Suit against Disney breast grabbing incident will move forward

The lawsuit by a Pennsylvania woman who claims Donald Duck groped her during a 2008 Disney trip will move forward, a federal judge ruled last week.

April Magolon claims the touchy toon character grabbed her breast while she held her kid during a May 2008 trip to Epcot, then joked about it, leaving her with post-traumatic stress, nightmares and digestive problems.

The 27-year-old claims the Disney parks have a history of fondling complaints and that the park has "condoned" their actions.

Disney had been hoping to get the lawsuit tossed or have it moved to Florida, but a judge ruled last Wednesday that the suit could proceed in Pennsylvania.

"She, her fiance (who was a witness to the alleged assault), and her treating doctors are all located in Pennsylvania," U.S. District Judge John R. Padova wrote in his Dec. 29 decision.

Indeed, it wasn't the first time a park character had been accused of groping. An employee dressed as Tigger was accused of molesting a 13-year-old and her mother in 2004, but was later acquitted.

And just because they're wearing one of those costumes, doesn't mean park pervs will keep their hands off the characters, as a woman dressed as Minnie Mouse found out last summer.

John Moyer, 60, was found guilty of grabbing Minnie's breasts and rear end and given probation and community service.
