Key West Holds Annual “Zombie Bike Ride” as Part of Fantasy Week Festivities

If you were in downtown Key West Sunday evening and thought a zombie invasion was taking place, no need to worry – it was just the annual Zombie Bike Ride to kick off the annual Fantasy Fest activities.

Over 8,000 people dressed like the “walking dead” and grabbed their two wheeled machines, traveling along the beachfront into Old Town before ending at the annual street party along Duval Street.

Fantasy Fest runs for 10 days in the city, including costume contests, the annual masquerade march and a grand parade. This year’s festivities are themed “Political Voodoo and Ballot Box Barbarians” in honor of this year’s elections.
