    A Miami man is recovering Monday night after he was shot in the butt while walking across from a Hooter’s restaurant near 34th Avenue and SW 22nd Street.

    A witness told Miami Police the 18-year-old victim was crossing the street on the crosswalk when he exchanged words with the driver of a vehicle on the corner. The victim walked in front and away from the vehicle and second later, the front passenger window lowered and a gunshot was fired.

    The shooting victim was taken by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Unit in serious condition.

    Police said there was no information about a motive or if there was a relationship between the victim and the occupants of the car.
