Obama Visits Miami
The President took an afternoon trip to Miami Central High School to praise students for raising their grades. But a speech to donors Friday night might be best remembered by his desire to remain in Miami.
Obama will be giving the commencement address at Miami Dade College's North Campus next month, on the heels of his visit to Miami two weeks ago.
The prez will be addressing the 2011 graduating class on April 29 at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami.
"We are extremely pleased to have President Obama address our graduates as he has made college access and completion a central focus of his administration," MDC’s president Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón said.
Obama was in Miami on March 4, where he appeared at Miami Central High School with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush to tout his education policies.
The Commander-in-Chief also attended a fundraiser, where he joked with the crowd that he wanted to stay in the Magic City for the weekend but First Lady Michelle Obama would feel left out.
