Woman Raped After South Beach Club Abduction

Police looking for man who may have drugged woman's drink

Police are looking for a man they say raped a woman after he abducted her from a popular Miami Beach nightclub.

The Miami-Dade Police Department's Special Victims Bureau is investigating the sexual assault which occurred on Saturday, March 26, at around 4:00 a.m.

The victim, a 24-year-old female, was at Club Mansion in Miami Beach before she was taken against her will to the La Fuente Hotel along Southwest 8th St. where the assault occurred.

"She was not coherent and it could be possibly related to her drink being drugged," said Det. Alvaro Zabaleta, with Miami-Dade Police.

Police say the suspect, a Hispanic male between 30 and 40 with a medium build and short dark hair, stole the woman's credit cards and used them at various locations along Coral Way. He was caught on camera at one of those locations.

He was seen in a gray or beige Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.

Last month, a woman was allegedly sexually assualted by three men at the Fontainebleau hotel after a pool party during the week of the city's big electronic music event, Ultra Fest.
