D-Wade Cheats, Goes Mutombo on Youth Camper

LeBron James not the only Heat star who hates to lose at knockout

Like his Heat teammate LeBron James, Dwyane Wade is putting in some time at youth basketball camps this summer. Also like James, D-Wade hates to lose at knockout.

The Heat's All-Star guard was playing a game of knockout with a few campers this week when he unleashed the kind of defensive tenacity normally reserved for the likes of Derrick Rose and Ray Allen (skip to the 0:45 mark for Wade's ferocious block).

That was a block worthy of teammate and defensive ace Joel Anthony. Hopefully he'll share this battle story with The Warden when the Heat return for preseason training camp later this year.

The block may have been slightly out of bounds in a friendly game with a few kids, but at least he didn't knock one of the campers over with a dunk the way James did a few weeks ago.

Wade ended up losing the game anyway when an attempt at pinballing the camper's shot with his own ball failed. This makes the camper the second sub-5-foot basketball player to defeat Wade recently, along with the Dallas Mavericks' JJ Barea.

"He'll never forget that," Wade said of the kid who bested him. Indeed he won't.
