With dozens of football helmets stolen from the Plantation Athletic League's fieldhouse, youth league football commissioner Cathy Watts says the upcoming season won't be easy for the Wildcats. Sunday night's burglary resulted in a financial loss of about $5,000 to $6,000, she said. Austin Laszewski, 15, who used to play youth football, spoke about the theft. Back in August, somebody stole equipment in another incident. Plantation Police say a reward of up to $1,000 is available, and urge anyone with information on the case to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
