    Brace yourselves, South Floridians.

The cold is coming. Don't be alarmed, though. That blast of a cold air you will feel isn't the beginning of an Ice Age. It's just a cold front.

Forecasts have the temps dropping into the 40s this weekend as a cold front passes through the Sunshine State beginning Friday.

Miami-Dade and Broward counties will likely feel temps dip into the 50s, but inland could get much cooler.

Either is enough to send residents scrambling for their fur coats and snow boots that they bout without thought during the summer. When else do we get to break out such useless wardrobe down here?

Breezy conditions will make it feel even cooler, but the uncharacteristic weather will disappear by the time you go to work Monday so enjoy it while it lasts.
