Dominique Moody is a News4 reporter specializing in breaking news and community-based stories across the DMV.
Moody hails from North Carolina, where he graduated from North Carolina A&T State University. While in college, he interned with PBS & UNC-TV, Good Morning America, FOX8 WGHP and WRAL. His career began at WNCT in eastern North Carolina, where he wrote and shot stories, produced newscasts and filled in as a news and sports anchor.
The Radio and Television News Directors Association recognized his work as a reporter and producer on stories including the African American Music Trails of Eastern North Carolina and the 2018 election.
Prior to moving to Washington, D.C., Moody reported for NBC Connecticut, where he earned an Emmy nomination for his breaking news coverage of a plane crash in September 2021.
Moody’s work about the inequalities in America’s education system was recognized with a Capital Region Emmy Award.
Moody lives in Maryland with his wife and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists.
