Hard-Core Porn Actor Still Working For Miami Beach Police Athletic League

Porn actor fired two years ago still working at PAL gym

A hard-core porn actor who was fired as gym manager at Miami Beach's Police Athletic League over two years ago is still picking up paychecks from the program.

Bruno Diaz, 47, was fired from the PAL in June 2009 after the executive board discovered his X-rated side job, but is still providing personal training sessions at the gym, according to the Miami Herald.

While the PAL gets funding from the city, gym workers for the nonprofit don't work for Miami Beach or the police force.

Members of the PAL include high school kids, and the building also hosts children in Miami Beach's after-school park and recreation programs, though PAL's president, Robert Jenkins, said that has no bearing on Diaz's job.

"He hasn’t harassed any of the kids," Jenkins told the Herald. "He is not a sexual predator."

Diaz didn't comment to the Herald.

Jenkins said the PAL decided to keep Diaz on the payroll after attorneys said they could be sued if he was fired. He said they've only received one complaint about Diaz in all the years he's worked at the gym.

"How do you get rid of somebody who is reliable and have no complaints against him?" Jenkins said.

Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower told the Herald she didn't know Diaz, who has had two hard-core porn movies released this year, still worked at the gym. She said there's little the city can do about his employment there.
