3 Dogs Saved as Massive Fire Engulfs Allapattah Business Friday Morning

What to Know

Three dogs were rescued early Friday morning from a massive fire that broke out inside of a Allapattah business.

Crews arrived at the scene at Leonard Brothers Trucking, located near Northwest 26th Avenue and 21st Terrace in Miami-Dade, after the blaze began around 3 a.m.

"The flames they just started bursting. It started rising and rising and rising, and then next thing you know you could see the flame," said Sylvester Warren, who spotted the fire and called 911.

Officials did not say if any other animals were inside when the fire broke out or what caused it to begin as crews continue their investigation.

"There were multiple vehicles that caught fire and when you have vehicles that are in for repair or even used for parts, then you have a lot of fluids, you have oils, you have a lot of flammable liquids inside that tend to burn and that obviously helped fuel the fire," said Miami Fire Rescue Captain Ignatius Carroll.
