The shelter is at capacity and is reaching out to the community by asking residents to adopt a dog or cat.
As an added incentive, the shelter is featuring a special promotion -- adopt a pet and you will be able to determine your adoption fee -- either $4 or a waived adoption fee by playing “Plinko.”
The adoption fee includes full medical exam and vaccination, spaying/neutering, Broward County Rabies Registration Tag and microchip. Broward County Animal Care is located at 1870 SW 39th Street, Fort Lauderdale.
The shelter is open for adoption Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
