A construction worker died after a steel gate fell on him at a water treatment plant in Sunrise Thursday, authorities said.
The 49-year-old man was working at the plant at 8500 Spring Tree Drive when the gate fell Thursday afternoon, Sunrise Fire Rescue Division Chief Jim Dixon said.
He was taken as a trauma alert to Broward Health Medical Center and died there, Dixon said.
