Cuban Migrants Successfully Land on Shores of Key Biscayne Early Tuesday Morning

A group of Cuban migrants successfully made it to the shores of Key Biscayne early Tuesday morning, part of a growing number of migrants who have been fleeing the island nation of late.

Key Biscayne Fire Rescue confirmed that five people, all males between the ages of 25 and 40, arrived at Bill Baggs State Park. All the men were evaluated by medical staff before being interviewed by Border Patrol agents. Eventually, they were taken from the scene for processing.

The migrants will be allowed to stay in American under the “wet foot, dry foot” arrangement that allows anyone from Cuba to stay in the United States if they reach land.
