Investigators say an officer noticed the two cars going the wrong way on Atlantic Boulevard toward Pompano Beach shortly before 9 p.m. Monday night. When they turned around to follow, one of the cars had crashed into the median near the Florida’s Turnpike after the female driver had been shot.

A short distance further, police found the second car that had also crashed with the male driver dead inside. Police identified him as 37-year-old Horreshia Owen Bryan.

Bryan was determined to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
