If you have grown tired of the recent colder weather that has taken over South Florida for much of the past week, there is good news: warmer weather is on the way by this weekend.

Thursday morning, parts of inland Miami-Dade and Broward counties woke up to temperatures in the low 40s with coastal areas right around the 50 degree mark. Those temperatures will just break the 70 degree mark for the daytime highs, below the average for this time of year.

By Friday, the warmup will begin with lows in the upper 50s and highs in the upper 70s – closer to the average temps for this time. Those numbers go even higher with high temperatures expected to hit the low 80s starting on Saturday and staying that way through the start of next week, with lows in the upper 60s and low 70s.
