Actress Zoe Saldana dropped by Walt Disney World where she reunited with fellow “Avatar” cast members at the grand opening celebration of the much anticipated “Pandora-The World of Avatar” attraction at the Animal Kingdom Park in Orlando.
Saldana who played Na’vi character Neytiri in the 2009 “Avatar” film joined fellow cast members; Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington, Laz Alonso, Stephen Lang, Wes Studi, Joel David Moore as well as the film’s director, James Cameron who helped usher the special opening celebration.
Saldana and her co-stars were amongst the first guests invited to try out some of the attraction inside the new land of Pandora including the “Na’vi River Journey” and the 3-D thrilling adventure “Avatar Flight of Passage.”
Experiencing the fantasy world of Pandora at Animal Kingdom was a real dream come true for Saldana and her co-stars who feel they finally got to see and experience what Pandora was really like.
“Even though I was part of this movie and I shot it for eight or night months of my life I never really got to walk on Pandora,” Saldana said. “This park gives us that opportunity.”
Walt Disney Imagineering in collaboration with James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertaiment brought to life the mythical world of Pandora inspired by the 2009 blockbuster film, Avatar.
“Pandora-The World of Avatar” is now open to the public at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Park.
