Officials have not said if it was related to the protests this weekend in the city.
A bicycle shop in downtown Miami was subject to a break-in late Sunday evening, with several high-end bicycles and equipment of products being stolen.
Police were initially unsure whether the incident was related to protests that had taken place the same night, but video surveillance footage later confirmed that a single group of suspects traveling in a truck was responsible for the theft.
Officials confirmed that close to 10:30 p.m., a man driving a white Ford F-150 backed into the storefront of Bike Tech, a shop located at 1622 Northeast 2nd Avenue. All the people in the truck got out and began to load several highly valued bicycles into the vehicle.
The stolen bicycles, along with other stolen bicycle riding equipment, are valued at approximately $130,000.
Video footage later showed the store's glass front doors completely shattered, with a seemingly damaged bicycle strewn in the entrance.
