Florida Amber Alert Issued for Fort Myers Girl Missing Since Sunday

A Florida Amber Alert was issued Thursday for a Fort Myers girl who went missing Sunday.

Diana Alvares, 9, was last seen Sunday in the 3500 block of Unique Circle in Fort Myers, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The Amber Alert said she may be in the company of 28-year-old Jorge Guerrero, who has tied to Orange and Okeechobee counties.

The FDLE said the vehicle connected to the Amber Alert has been located. Officers said the vehicle had been abandoned and is now in law enforcement custody. They are not commenting on where the car was found, due to the ongoing investigation.

Family members told NBC 6 that Guerrero had rented a room at the family's home but had moved out a month ago.

Alvares is about 4-foot-5, 95 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
