Keith Brown, 33, was located and arrested in Miami-Dade in connection with Sunday’s fatal shooting of 32-year-old Latoya Michelle Wiggins, Miami Beach police said.

A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting of a woman on Miami Beach over the weekend has been arrested, police said Friday.

Keith Brown, 33, was located and arrested in Miami-Dade in connection with Sunday's fatal shooting of 32-year-old Latoya Michelle Wiggins, Miami Beach police said. He was in the process of being interviewed by detectives Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. in the northwest corner of 10th Street and Collins Avenue, after police said the woman had been involved in an altercation with a man before he shot her at least three times.

Police released surveillance video Wednesday of the suspect running from the scene moments after the shooting. Previously released footage showed people scrambling for cover as bullets flew.

Wiggins was known to the department's human trafficking investigators and was also a cooperative witness in an active but separate human trafficking case, police said.

Police said Brown has an extensive criminal past. It's unknown what exact charges he'll face.
