Police respond to Margate Middle School after a possible weapon was found on campus on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Margate Middle School was briefly placed on lockdown Monday as police investigated reports of a weapon on campus, which were later unfounded.
The Margate Police Department and the Broward Sheriff's Office investigated the school grounds.

Last October, a student at Margate Middle School was disciplined for bringing a BB gun to campus, prompting a large police response.
