The Miami Police Department announced memorial services Wednesday for Officer Jorge Sanchez.
The motorcycle patrolman was killed Tuesday in a violent crash that injured 12 others and involved 10 cars in Southwest Miami-Dade.
A viewing will be held Thursday at Vior Funeral Home in Miami from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The funeral service and burial will be held on Friday at the at 9 a.m. at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
Following the service, a procession will travel to Woodlawn Cemetery North for the burial.
Sanchez, 53, was a 21-year police veteran.
Florida Highway Patrol says Sanchez was as heading eastbound on southwest 8th Street waiting to turn left on 137th Avenue when he was rear-ended by an SUV driven by Ronald Pla.

Officer Sanchez is survived by his three children, mother, ex-wife, and fiance. His son, Eric, is also a City of Miami police officer.
