Police are investigating after two kids were found unresponsive in a Hollywood pool, officials said.

According to police, on Friday morning, officers responded to 6400 block of Meade Street in Hollywood, in reference to two young children found unresponsive in a pool at a home.

Hollywood Police along with Hollywood Fire Rescue responded immediately and transported the two kids to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where their condition is unknown at this time.

Police said there is no reason to believe this incident had a criminal element. All parties involved are cooperating with police.

Surveillance videos from a Ring camera across the street show fire rescue crews rushing to get both stretchers into ambulances and the children to the hospital.

Claudia Oyuela was like many of her neighbors who woke up to police up and down their street.

“It's a big surprise, it hit me, I feel in shock,” Oyuela said. “It’s very sad. We were wondering what happened because this neighborhood is very calm."

She said she doesn't know much about the people at the home. The only interaction she's had with anyone here was when a dog was loose.

"They told me we're sorry, but they were very nice people,” Oyuela said.

The home is listed on Airbnb. Oyuela heard that's what the home was used for.

"All we know is people have been coming in,” Oyuela said.

People who live in this neighborhood are hoping for a positive ending.

"Really sad that something that is fun ends up like that,” Oyuela said.
